Are you terrified of throwing a Halloween party? There’s absolutely no need for you to be scared – follow my tips on throwing the best Halloween bash.

Although there are many holiday themed parities throughout the year – you can’t ever go wrong celebrating witches and the day of the dead. I ended up inviting a few of my closest girlfriends last weekend for a Halloween brunch and we all had a scary good time!

Check out my top three tips for throwing your own amazing party:

Have the right Decorations:

Every great party is full of fun decorations – I brought Halloween themed napkins and plates but you can use the basics such as orange and black color themes.

If you are tight on cash, I highly recommend stopping by your local $1 Dollar store and picking up some cheap festive tablecloths, streamers, balloons and extras you can place on your table, such as spiders, pumpkins and interactive mummies.

For my brunch, I used black streamers and created two DIY (do-it-yourself) projects – I found sticks and twigs outside of my home and brought orange glitter spray paint. I brought foam skeletons at the dollar stores and used silver glitter spray paint to jazz it up.

Be the best host with the most with killer drinks for your guests. Create a BOO CART aka BARCART:

I recently splurged on my own version of a barcart, a mirrored bar console at my local Homegoods. I laid out cute mini champagne bottles with orange juice for my mimosa bar – you can do the same by going to your local grocery store and stocking up with cute ribbons and straws!

People need to eat – you must have a delicious food spread for all your party people:

Your guests will love you if you offer fun, Halloween-themed dishes versus just putting out chips and salsa. It’s always appreciated when you go the extra mile – bake sugar cookies and add orange frosting with black sprinkles on top or if you don’t have time to bake, buy the slice and bake cookies from Pillsbury at your local grocery stores.

A huge favorite at my brunch was my Frankenstein dirt pudding. It is so simple to make – all you need are some clear cups, a permanent black marker, vanilla pudding, crushed Oeros and green food coloring. I drew a face on the clear cup, added the white vanilla pudding then topped it with crushed Oreos. It ended being the hit of the party!

Last but not least, a DIY waffle bar was icing on the cake since mine was a brunch theme. I set up individual waffles then laid out different toppings such as raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and more.
