I recently had one of my best dining experiences at L2O (an acronym for Lake 2 Ocean), when I was invited to attend a wine pairing dinner a couple weeks ago.  This seafood restaurant by former Chef Laurent Gras has received multiple accolades, including a recent nomination for the James Beard Award and a 2 star rating from the Michelin Guide in 2012 and a 3 star rating in 2010. I’ve always enjoyed wine pairing dinners, but L2O took the experience to a whole new level! The evening started with the leading white wine of Spain, Martin Codax Albarino and an assortment of delicious bread.  The party continued with the following 7-course meal prepared by Chef Matthew Kirkley and his team.

The night was truly amazing and every dish was a piece of art prepared to perfection.  L2O and the Martin Codax Albarinon wine definitely won me over. On a sidenote, be sure to check out the restaurant’s amazing aquarium!
