Smoothie bowls have been quite the buzz for a while and I can’t believe it has taken me this long to get on board – apparently, it’s because I live under a rock. I have absolutely been missing out!
I’ve already made this several times this week and for good reason. They are delicious, satisfying and a healthy way to start your morning. One of the main ingredients in my smoothie bowl is matcha green tea powder. Studies have shown that matcha has high levels of antioxidants and shown to lower cholesterol and stress. It also provides fiber, magnesium, vitamin C, and zinc.
- 2 sliced frozen banana
- 1 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup frozen spinach
- Topping ideas (bee pollen, berries, cayenne, cinnamon, chia seeds, dragon fruits, hemp seeds, shredded coconut, options are limitless)
- Add all of the ingredients in your preferred blender and process until smooth.
- Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings.
