Four Seasons Chicago - Chicago Food Girl

3 Reasons a Weekend at The Four Seasons Hotel is the Ultimate Romantic Getaway

in Beauty, Eating Out, Eats & Drinks, Lifestyle, Travel  •  September 25, 2018

The Four Seasons Hotel is a beautiful, luxury hotel in Chicago and it was the perfect place for a romantic staycation getaway! From the moment we pulled up to the curb of the hotel we were welcomed with warm smiles and caring staff who did whatever it took to ensure we didn’t have to lift a finger during our stay, and it was the perfect place to focus on one another, and celebrate Shaheen’s birthday a bit early. We could have spent the entire weekend within the Four Seasons, because everything we needed was right on site, and as convenient... To all my fellow fried rice fiends—oops, I mean friends—Benihana has declared September 20th National Fried Rice Day! To commemorate the new holiday, Benihana’s own, Chef Raymundo Mendez, will cook the signature dish for 42 consecutive hours in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record. The celebration kicks off today at Benihana’s flagship location in the John Hancock Center and culminates on Thursday, National Fried Rice Day, with diners receiving a complimentary serving of fried rice with the purchase of any entrée. The inaugural event will also raise awareness for... Recipe: Shishito Peppers with Peapod + GIVEAWAY

in Eating In, Eating Out, Eats & Drinks, Giveaways, Health, Recipe  •  February 28, 2017

There seems to be a notion that food bloggers enjoy extrava gant home cooked meals 7 days a week and have all the time in the world to go grocery shopping. But in reality, there are only so many hours in a day. Hence my happiness when my friend introduced me to Peapod few weeks ago. Founded in 1989, they are the country’s oldest online grocery delivery... in Eating Out  •  April 17, 2016

People always ask me what I love about being a food blogger. A few reasons I can think from the top of my head is that this has been an amazing outlet to pursue my love for photography and writing. Being able to try new restaurants.

Snap Kitchen: Healthy Food on the Go

in Eating Out, Eats & Drinks  •  November 18, 2015

Who else has trouble making healthy meals at home? With my corporate day job, writing and designing my blog, attending social events, volunteering and fitting in gym time – it’s become harder to find the time to incorporate healthy eating while on the go. That’s why I was excited when I was approached by Snap Kitchen, few weeks ago to see if I would be interested in trying their service. Snap Kitchen is a personal chef service in Chicago that specializes... Meli Café – a Greek mashup of clean juices, hearty omelets and almost everything in between

in Eating Out, Eats & Drinks  •  August 12, 2015

Despite staying out late the night before with Bachelorette Party Night 1 (and in due part to our strong Cocktail Courier pre-game), we somehow found the strength to rise and shine for a 9:30 a.m. breakfast. I’d heard of a new Meli Café location opening on Dearborn, so was psyched to take the girls here to try it out. I had a good feeling as we were promptly greeted and seated, given my deliciously positive experiences at Meli’s other locations.

in Eating In, Eating Out, Eats & Drinks, Events  •  August 7, 2015

This weekend, I was tasked with hosting a bachelorette party in the city for one of my closest college girlfriends. And what better way to foster new girl-friendships than over some icebreakers in liquid form?   Special delivery!   Enter Cocktail Courier, AKA classy in a box. It’s... Filini’s Summer Menu Preview Dinner

in Eating Out, Eats & Drinks  •  July 28, 2015

It’s probably safe to say that my favorite sport is cooking. Coming from a long line of home cooks, I was one of those kids who grew up in the kitchen pretending to host a cooking show. I dreamed of creating magical dishes that fed people’s bellies and hearts. I developed a longing that the food I would create would nourish bodies and souls, gather people together around a table, and produce in them a feeling of...
