3 Reasons a Weekend at The Four Seasons Hotel is the Ultimate Romantic Getaway

in Beauty, Eating Out, Eats & Drinks, Lifestyle, Travel  •  September 25, 2018

The Four Seasons Hotel is a beautiful, luxury hotel in Chicago and it was the perfect place for a romantic staycation getaway! From the moment we pulled up to the curb of the hotel we were welcomed with warm smiles and caring staff who did whatever it took to ensure we didn’t have to lift a finger during our stay, and it was the perfect place to focus on one another, and celebrate Shaheen’s birthday a bit early. We could have spent the entire weekend within the Four Seasons, because everything we needed was right on site, and as convenient... A few weeks ago, my friend Gina and I decided to be spontaneous and plan a last minute girls trip to Cancun, Mexico. It was the perfect way to recharge after the holidays. Fun Getaway to North Lake Tahoe, Nevada

in Beauty, Eats & Drinks, Health, Style, Travel  •  July 11, 2016

In desperate need of some R&R, I recently traveled west to Nevada/California. My boyfriend and I spent the first few days enjoying the outdoors in Lake Tahoe before making our way to The Biggest Little City in the World, Reno, NV. Lake Tahoe is one of the most popular destinations on the west coast and is famous for the wonderful scenery. Voted America’s best and most beautiful lake, there are many ways to enjoy the vast terrain. The cultural scene in Reno has some amazing art and music venues. Along with world-renowned food and wine, it’s one of Nevada’s best destinations. Check-out my photo journal below.

My Top Five Milwaukee Must-Do’s

in Eating Out, Eats & Drinks, Events, Festivals, Travel  •  July 17, 2015

I recently traveled north to check out Milwaukee (less than a one-hour drive from Chicago) and take-in the city’s keystone summer celebration. Summerfest is an annual music festival held along the lakefront in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The World’s Largest Music Festival attracts the music industry’s hottest stars, emerging talent and local favorites. For 11 days, more than 800 acts play on 11 sponsor themed stages throughout the grounds, including the 23,000-capacity Marcus Amphitheater. On any given day, attendees can enjoy alternative, rock, country, hip-hop, pop, EDM headliners and much more. I was lucky enough to take-in two of... One of the worst things in this world is waking up and having a ‘bad hair day’.  How often have you woken up, started getting ready for work and realized that your hair just isn’t going to co-operate with you? Since many of you have asked who does my hair, here are my top go-to when it comes to hair in Chicago: Blow-outs I don’t trust anyone else with my blow-outs hair but Blohaute. What is it? It’s as simple as one, two, three. Book an appointment online and then wait for your dedicated style expert to... in Beauty, Events, Health, Style, Travel  •  February 27, 2015

Picture: I’ve been following Jean Kolb’s advice and going more natural. No makeup and loving it!   Playing in the snow is fun, but we all know Midwest winters can wreck havoc on the skin. Since it’s important to prepare and protect pores from dry skin, we sat down with Jean Kolb, Director of Kohler Waters Spa at The American Club Resort in Kohler, Wisconsin, to get some insight on how to keep our skin looking flawless. Recognized with... Once a dormitory for immigrant employees with a pub, bowling alley and barbershop, The American Club remerged in 1981 as a full-service hotel. Today this Tudor-style redbrick building welcomes guests with gracious hospitality that has earned a Forbes Five-Star and AAA 5-diamond rating. Located in Kohler, Wisconsin, The American Club is primarily known for its luxury spa, fine dining and championship golf courses. However, part 2 of my review will focus on some of the other, lesser-known amenities. My weekend at Kohler, Wisconsin, included attendance at some of their best restaurants and activities of my choice. Each of the listed activities...
