A Day in the Life of ChicagoFoodGirl – McDonald’s Style

in Eats & Drinks  •  August 22, 2016

Disclosure: I received a complimentary trip to McDonald’s to facilitate this post. Review and opinions are my own. My very first meal in America was a Happy Meal. I can still picture the toys that accompanied our dinners so many years ago. From that first day in America, to summer family road trips and late night college cram sessions, McDonald’s has been a focal point to many fond memories. 25 years later, I remain a fan of the food, and today a proud partner of the world’s foremost fast food chain.  As a satisfied customer (more times than I can... Fun Getaway to North Lake Tahoe, Nevada

in Beauty, Eats & Drinks, Health, Style, Travel  •  July 11, 2016

In desperate need of some R&R, I recently traveled west to Nevada/California. My boyfriend and I spent the first few days enjoying the outdoors in Lake Tahoe before making our way to The Biggest Little City in the World, Reno, NV. Lake Tahoe is one of the most popular destinations on the west coast and is famous for the wonderful scenery. Voted America’s best and most beautiful lake, there are many ways to enjoy the vast terrain. The cultural scene in Reno has some amazing art and music venues. Along with world-renowned food and wine, it’s one of Nevada’s best destinations. Check-out my photo journal below.

Classic Closet Staple: Black and White Dress

in Beauty  •  May 22, 2016

Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite transition dresses. I am all about wardrobe remixing and investing in quality pieces that you can wear season after season. As many of you know I adore classic, timeless style and today I’m sharing one of my favorite outfits to wear and season after season. This dress stands the test of time… proving you’ll never go wrong with a beautiful black and white dress, stylish knee high boots and of course, a modern pair of sunglasses. What’s something in your closet that you pull out season after season? Is it a particular pair of... Salero – Modern Spanish Cuisine in the West Loop

in Eating Out  •  April 17, 2016

People always ask me what I love about being a food blogger. A few reasons I can think from the top of my head is that this has been an amazing outlet to pursue my love for photography and writing. I love all of the different types of people I’ve encountered paths with and find this blogging community incredibly inspiring. But one of the things I really love about being a food blogger? Being able to try new restaurants.

Date Night: Fun Print Pink Dress

in Fashion, Outfit of the Day, Style  •  April 8, 2016

At this time of year, it can be a struggle for us to want to brave the cold weather and go out on a Friday night in Chicago. At the end of the work week, there’s nothing more I want to do than drink a good glass of wine. Although, I know once the sweatpants makes it’s debut too many times, it’s time to get dolled up and go out for a few hours. Going to the movies happens to be one of our favorite date activities.... Matcha Green Tea Pancakes Recipe (Gluten-Free and High-Protein)

in Eating In, Eats & Drinks, Health, Recipe  •  February 24, 2016

Looking for an easy gluten-free pancake recipe? Since I’ve been eating healthier and cooking at home more,  I developed my matcha gluten-free, high protein recipe a few weeks ago and since then, have been our go-to. One of the main ingredients is matcha green tea powder. Studies have shown that matcha has high levels of antioxidants... Bibimbap

in Eats & Drinks  •  February 2, 2016

We are not so much what we eat, but what we remember we have eaten. When I was five years old, I walked into my mom’s kitchen one Sunday morning and smelled the most delicious smells coming from her kitchen. She called me to the room with those enticing aromas and placed a plate of ‘bibimbap’ in front of me. Then she told me to eat quickly or else it would get cold. The way the different ingredients disappeared in the dish... My Favorite Winter Hat

in Fashion, Style  •  January 21, 2016

As much as I dread the Chicago winters, I do believe in accessorizing in style for every occasion. There’s definitely something about throwing on a hat that makes me feel like my outfit is much more complete. My current go to is my winter hat from Saks. This luxurious material not only adds a little glamour to my wardrobe, but keeps my head warm. Here a few of my other favorites: // Share this: Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email More Print (Opens in new window) Print Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr
