Recipe: Shishito Peppers with Peapod + GIVEAWAY

in Eating In, Eating Out, Eats & Drinks, Giveaways, Health, Recipe  •  February 28, 2017

There seems to be a notion that food bloggers enjoy extrava gant home cooked meals 7 days a week and have all the time in the world to go grocery shopping. But in reality, there are only so many hours in a day. Hence my happiness when my friend introduced me to Peapod few weeks ago. Founded in 1989, they are the country’s oldest online grocery delivery... Recipe: Korean Soft Tofu with Kimchi Stew (Soon Du Bu Kimchi Jigae)

in Eating In, Eats & Drinks, Recipe  •  November 30, 2016

There seems to be a notion that food bloggers enjoy extravagant home cooked meals 7 days a week. But in reality, at least for me, I’m constantly eating out during the week. Because at the end of a full work day at the office, I’m exhausted to be in the kitchen. As of late, to cut down on eating out during the week, this Soon Du Bu Kimchi Jigae aka Korean Soft Tofu with Kimchi Stew have been in constant rotation at our house. I grew up eating this soup and it’s a staple in any Korean kitchen. It’s an all-in-one meal with a... Bibimbap

in Eats & Drinks  •  February 2, 2016

We are not so much what we eat, but what we remember we have eaten. When I was five years old, I walked into my mom’s kitchen one Sunday morning and smelled the most delicious smells coming from her kitchen. She called me to the room with those enticing aromas and placed a plate of ‘bibimbap’ in front of me. Then she told me to eat quickly or else it would get cold. The way the different ingredients disappeared in the dish... Tteokbokki (Korean Spicy Rice Cakes)

in Eating In, Eats & Drinks  •  October 21, 2015

We are not so much what we eat, but what we remember we have eaten. When I was five years old, I walked in my mom’s kitchen one Saturday morning and smelled the most delicious smells coming from her kitchen. She called me to the room with those enticing aromas and placed a plate of ‘tteokbokki’ in front of me. Then she told me to eat quickly or else it would get cold. The way the rice cakes disappeared in my mouth as I ate it delighted me.  The... Cucumber Dill Sandwiches

in Eats & Drinks  •  September 24, 2015

One of my earliest memories is pulling cucumbers my grandparents grew in their garden and taking them to my grandmother’s kitchen. We would make sandwiches, always on pumpernickel bread, spread with cream cheese topped with thinly sliced cucumbers sprinkled with dill. My passion for gardening was discovered late in life, but thanks to Burpee’s, I was able to collaborate with them to expand my green thumb. If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know this summer I started my... Healthy Pasta Cookbook Review + Free Giveaway

in Eating In, Eating Out, Eats & Drinks, Events, Giveaways  •  April 29, 2015

“Eating pasta can be advantageous to your health, satisfying, and economical. Pasta should be a staple in every kitchen.” I don’t know about you but healthy and pasta are my two favorite words. As soon as I received my cookbook from the dynamic Bastianich sibling duos, I knew this would be one I would not be able to put down. As an owner of more than one dozen restaurants—including Babbo, which he co-owns with chef Mario Batali—it’s... Balsamic Vinegar Pearls Recipe

in Eating In, Eats & Drinks, Recipe  •  April 20, 2015

I’ll be the first to admit that I love fancy anything.  I love finishing touches that make my dishes extra special. My co-worker invited me over for dinner and her husband introduced me to balsamic vinegar “caviars” this weekend so I decided to re-create them myself. These little beautiful balls are a simple and fantastic way to add a touch of molecular gastronomy to your dishes since the balsamic vinegar is transformed into tiny jelly balls using agar agar and...
